Three well-proportioned bedrooms sit on the first floor, all of which could easily accommodate a double bed or be configured as an office.

A sculptural light fitting also by Blair Ross hangs above the dedicated dining area, positioned to face the sash windows that line one side. Smartly designed to be in constant dialogue with the garden, the kitchen is arguably the most contemporary room of the house, with bespoke oak cabinetry and thick concrete worksurfaces by furniture designer David Blair Ross.

Soft neutral walls have been painted in ‘Hardwick White’ and provide a subtle backdrop for the original architraves that define the space. The cast iron fireplace at the front provides a natural focal point, while bespoke joinery sits on either side, purposefully built to house books and records. Slim pine floorboards run the length of this floor save for the kitchen at the rear, which has been laid with chequered blue and grey tiles by Bert and May.Ī dual-aspect living area lies adjacent, with carefully retained sash windows on either side. Entry is to a long hallway, with tall ceilings and a staircase ahead. Characterised by yellow stock brick with red brick trim, this cottage’s front door is set beneath curved stucco arches. Stevens Avenue comprises a terrace of demure, pretty Victorian cottages. Positioned only a short walk from Victoria Park and London Fields, the house occupies an enviable position in east London. A luscious landscaped garden by Miria Harris lies at the rear, filled with heavy swathes of wisteria and climbing plants. The integrity of the original design remains throughout the current owners have carefully selected a sympathetic palette of muted paint colours by Farrow & Ball, which responds to the elegant period bones of the building. I am disappointed in the result and the service I received and will probably not return to this shop in the future.A beautifully preserved interior defines this four-bedroom Victorian terraced house in Homerton, East London. Keep in mind this is without product, so I can make it look at passable, but it is still embarrassing. I’ve attached the photo of my haircut from multiple angles as well as the first result for low fade from Google.

When I made the comment that it was not what I asked for and explained that this was not a low fade, the barber replied “I know what a low fade is”. This is ridiculous. The barber cut with clippers almost to the top of my head, which is absolutely not a low fade. It appears as if I’m balding, which I am not. One of my whorls was cut down from being about three inc he’s long to maybe a half-inch. I have two whorls in the back which, if cut short, will not lay down at all.

What I received was a strange, angular undercut that in no way resembles my request.I have fine hair that needs to be left longer on the top or it sticks up quite aggressively. The lady cutting my hair asked if I wanted an undercut, to which I replied no, a low fade, keep the sides longer, and blend the top. I asked for a low fade and to only take about an inch to an inch and a half off the top. I haven’t had any complaints before today.Unfortunately, I’m very unhappy with the haircut and service I received when I went to get my hair trimmed before Drill. Usually the haircut I receive is a pretty standard barber cut. I’ve been here for a haircut about 5 times over the past few years.
